Emily Kuchey, LISW-S

Licensed Independent Social Worker, Supervisor Designation

  • Emily is an independently licensed social worker, as well as a designated supervisor for other LSW clinicians. Emily began her career in the non-profit sector of clinical therapy, working primarily with women and children who had experienced domestic violence. Due to her designations and excelsior skill set, Emily quickly rose to a supervisor position, and would go on to oversee a large staff of advocates, case managers, and licensed therapists. In recent years, Emily has brought her expertise to the private practice environment, working primarily with survivors of trauma and domestic violence.

Emily defines her approach as client-centered, solution focused and believes that treatment goals are most effective when self-directed. As a trauma informed clinician, Emily takes all angles of her client’s safety into consideration; and retains a non-judgmental stance as she emotionally meets clients where they are in their journey and gently guides them to in the direction they want to go.
